Why does NFS@Home not work well with others? Anytime I add this project it dominates the CPU cycles and doesn't let anything else run, ever. Currently I am trying to fluctuate between LHC, WEP and NFS, but NFS is not letting the former two run at all. Nada. Zilch. Also the reporting time for NFS seems to be outrageous. Some tasks are claiming a few hours for completing while others are claiming months (60 days) before they complete. This can't be accurate. If NFS can't behave with other projects I am going to be forced to abandon it. |

I just had to suspend NFS because it wasn't letting anything else run. Soon as I did that BOINC downloaded task from the other projects and started working on them immediately. |

That's typical of starting any new BOINC project. BM tried to average out the CPU usage among projects you're allowing to run and a new project is way behind. After letting all projects run for awhile will it really follow the share settings between projects. |
