For some reason at least 1 Box of mine keeps requesting GPU Work. It's about out of work now, don't know if it will request CPU work when it runs out or not ... I suppose we can thank our wonderful PITA BOINC Client for this ... :) 11/21/2009 5:36:06 PM NFS@Home update requested by user 11/21/2009 5:36:08 PM NFS@Home Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. 11/21/2009 5:36:08 PM NFS@Home Requesting new tasks for GPU 11/21/2009 5:36:13 PM NFS@Home Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 11/21/2009 5:36:13 PM NFS@Home Message from server: No work sent 11/21/2009 5:36:13 PM NFS@Home Message from server: No work is available for 14e Lattice Sieve 11/21/2009 5:36:13 PM NFS@Home Message from server: No work available for the applications you have selected. The GPU request is a feature of the new BOINC clients. It can be ignored. However, it appears that you only have the lasieved client selected in the NFS@Home preferences for that computer. As is usually the case, there is currently no work for that client. Make sure that at least lasievee is selected. |

Make sure that at least lasievee is selected. 2172 NFS@Home 11/22/2009 4:44:06 AM Starting task S6p323_117456_0 using lasievee version 107 As you can see I do have the lasievee selected as I have always had, all my Box's have a full Cache (200) of the lasievee Wu's except for 1 Box that refuses to Download more than a dozen or so and then waits until it almost runs out & then Downloads a Dozen or so more & repeats the Process. I've checked everything I can on the Box to figure out why that is so but can't find anything. I've reset the Debts on it, increased the contact time locally & tried a few other things but it still won't Cache more than a Dozed or so Wu's @ 1 Time ... PS: I figured it out finally, I have 1 PicEvolvr Wu on that Box that is at 360 hr's of Processing & 95% Done, well it stopped running yesterday & 4 NFS were running instead of 3 along side the 1 PicEvolvr like it had been so I jacked up the Resource Share to PicEvolvr trying to get it to start running again. The PicEvolvr has a Dec 6'th Deadline & the NFS Wu's have a Nov 25'th Deadline & now for some reason the PicEvolvr won't run anymore. The only reason I can think of is because of the Deadline it's letting the NFS Wu's run because of their shorter Deadline. I hate leaving a Wu with that many Hours sitting on a Box, if something goes wrong the Wu could be lost & all the Processing time with it. The only thing I can do is wait for it to start up again or Suspend the NFS Project so it forces it to start again but then I lose Processing time on 3 Cores doing that because it will take a good 24-36 hours more to finish that last 5% on the PicEvolvr Wu ... |
