|Your opinions about NFS@Home|
|1.) I started my career supporting mathematical research and realized that I have around 2000 times more computational power in my home lab than what the average researcher had on their desktop 25 years ago. I realized that for around $500 in electricity per year I could use this power to help science and math research in some very worthwhile causes. |
2.) I think the project will help me with my own research in my home lab as I experiment with load balancing techniques and virtualzation.
3.) Suggestions, develop GPU capabilities for the project as this will unlock more powerful and numerous cores that are on some of our machines. I will like to develop pass through GPU virtualization in my home lab to support this.
