Other options are limiting BOINC to running on three cores, or running another low-memory project alongside NFS. This works if you limit BOINC to using only 75-80% of your available memory even when the computer is not in use. Yea, i know, but i'm a person, whose mission with the computer is, a sort of "all in" i got memory set to 90%. i use all 4 cores, and my gpu. i'll just get this new job and buy some more memory. i need some more anyway.
3) Message boards : Questions/Problems/Bugs : lasievef 1.08 still errors w/ windows Message 559 Posted 2 Sep 2010 by zpm	hey Greg... i didn't realize how much ram these wu's eat up, so for now i've suspended or i should put the project on no new task until i get this job and can get some more ram in for my quad core system... i let my system run nfs overnight and i find it nearly locked up this morning when i turned the screen on. 4 gb of ram isn't enough.
