Great to hear. Dose the grant give you x amount of computer time post processing?

That is some serious processor power 78.8Ghz. I gather all the output data is sent to 1 hard drive or location? Once you have all the post processed data how is it stored How much space in total have you used with completed work from the project? Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

Thanks Greg. May I how many CPU'S & at what speed it will take to do the linear algebra run?

Have all the Gtaocp tasks been sent out? Reason I'm asking is because as I write this, on the Status of numbers page It still shows TAOCP (Puzzle time!) status as Sieving. I requested tasks not so long ago and got eight 1621_73 tasks. Currently 81.28% Pushed.

lasievee tasks require about 500 MB each. lasievef and lasieve5f tasks require about 1GB each.

Thankyou for the clarification
I thought by the following
If you have the memory for it please use the lasievef application help factor B200
B200 had special memory requirements.

I just found a 15e that had been running for close to 7 Hr's now and was only @ 11% Completion. I just suspended it for now in case you want any file info from it, then I can Delete/Abort it or restart it by Exiting BOINC when I'm going to be around for an hour to monitor it. If after another hr or so if it shows the same tendencies I will just Abort it ???

If it hasen't progressed past 11% in an hour try a system restart. If still the same after a restart I would abort it

Thanks Greg for explaining. Man 10-15MB a second is fast. I'm on a unlimited cap plan down is about 5.2MB/s up is about 0.3MB/s

Thanks for explaining. I have 1 more question. How dose the information get to the people that are doing the post processing, do you ship the data on disk of is it sent via a high speed data pike?

Is the linear algebra of 5,409 to big for Teragrid to process in one go? I think I did divide number by 48 (24 twice) instead of one

This is wonderful news. 300000 CPU hours is equivalent to 1.42 years of processing time. Greg would be possible for you to let us know how long the postprocessing of linear algebra of 5,409 takes?

6866403, 3rd result unsent 6933291 other result unsent & 6933288 other result unsent. I think these errors was caused after a restart but I'm not 100% sure

Out of interest which application is 12,254+ using lasievee, lasievef? On 08/08 I got round 109 tasks all 3,563+. I would like to help with 12,254+ since you are wanting to push it through as fast as possible. I'm can do 12 3,563+ tasks per hour with HT on

I added a field with the total credit awarded in the past 24 hours. It pulls it live out of the database every time the server status page is updated, which is every 10 minutes. Turns out that the load it adds to the database is negligible.

Thanks Greg. Hopefully it will increase daily through put.

Greg I've had an idea, could you add a field to server status page to say how many tasks/workunits have been processed for the day updating every couple of hours? This is just an idea this could also help us (crunchers) know when through put has dropped. I'm aware you may not get to this until semester break

If you limit your assignments to the 15e application, then 6GB will be sufficient. If you want to use the 16e application as well, 8GB will do for the current settings.

Thanks Greg. Do you have a eta as to how long it will be until all the current sieving will be done & we move on to bigger sets of numbers?
