PS: Are you able to reduce the time between server status page updates? xD

The server is stable right now. I'm not touching it! :-)

Work has been going out, but it gets immediately gobbled up. It seems nearly everyone wants work from the lasieve_5f queue, so I've temporarily stopped feeding work from the other queues until those clients are full.

Background results processing on top of the sprint load was overwhelming the server. I've turned that off. Hopefully the server will catch up soon. Thanks for your patience!
45) Message boards : Questions/Problems/Bugs : 16e tasks frequently fail for me, with Computation Error - across multiple PCs and OSes (Message 2157)

Those were run on Mac and ended with a segmentation fault. I typically see a bit higher error rates on the Mac app, especially now that we are running a more difficult quartic, but the project-wide Mac error rates are ok. I'm not sure why that host is unhappy. Perhaps you could try one of the other apps with that host to see if this particular number is causing the issue?

Thanks for reporting the error. The problem WUs have been removed.

I see your errors. But I also see a bunch of Ryzen 9 3900X and a couple Ryzen 9 3950X using the 64-bit Linux apps without problems. The closest to yours is https://escatter11.fullerton.edu/nfs/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7176076. Have you enabled any unusual settings?

No, numbers of that size are well beyond the capabilities of SNFS. You should focus on other factoring methods like ECM.
49) Message boards : News : Two new apps launched (Message 2100)

Yes, they are using the same executable files and are simply providing finer granularity for choosing the appropriate location for a particular number. But they are implemented as entirely separate apps with separate stats and badges.

Post:
Two new apps have been launched, lasievee_small and lasievef_small. As the numbers we factor become larger, the lasieved app has largely become inadequate while the lasievee app queue has grown very long. In an attempt to compensate, job memory use and runtime has crept upward to stretch the capability of the apps. To alleviate these issues, these new apps will provide additional flexibility to choose the app most appropriate to the size of the number being factored while keeping memory use and runtime more reasonable. If you have modified your project preferences to run only specific applications, you may want to adjust your settings to enable these new apps. Thanks for your contributions to NFS@Home!

Welcome BOINC Pentathlon participants. Note that if you haven't participated in NFS@Home recently and are having trouble queuing work, then complete a few workunits and send them back. The server doesn't send much work to machines that haven't returned any recently.

As supported by the current BOINC server software, I have enabled the option to delete your NFS@Home account if you wish. Please note that if you choose to do so, it is permanent. Deleted accounts are removed from the database and cannot be recovered.

It needs a better poly than the one I have so far. For that I need to get the cado code running on the cluster, which isn't trivial. I hope to have the time to devote to that within a couple of weeks.
