Hi!
I've 3 computers running NFS (Mac Pros with MacOs 10.14) an 1 have problems!
Preferences are the same on the 3 computers and no problems with other projects!
The first time I've seen the problem, I restart the project....... Problem not solved!!
The 2nd time (a few days later) , I remove / re-add the project...... Not better, not solved!!
Between the 2 tries, I restart the computer.
Each time I lost more than 1000 calculated WUs!!!

I've that error :
Dim 29 aoû 22:23:07 2021 | NFS@Home | update requested by user
Dim 29 aoû 22:23:08 2021 | NFS@Home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
Dim 29 aoû 22:23:08 2021 | NFS@Home | Reporting 39 completed tasks
Dim 29 aoû 22:23:08 2021 | NFS@Home | Not requesting tasks: too many runnable tasks
Dim 29 aoû 22:23:09 2021 | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
Dim 29 aoû 22:23:09 2021 | NFS@Home | Scheduler request failed: Failed sending data to the peer
Dim 29 aoû 22:23:10 2021 | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

Somebody have an idea??

Thx!

I looked at your pc and the error message is you didn't start the tasks before the deadline, I did not go thru all 1100 tasks with problems but the first 5 pages of problems were all the same. NFS gives us very short deadlines sometimes, your were 3 days, and maybe your cache size is too big on that pc to handle that short of a deadline?

These lines also suggest your cache size is too big on that pc:
Dim 29 aoû 22:23:08 2021 | NFS@Home | Reporting 39 completed tasks
Dim 29 aoû 22:23:08 2021 | NFS@Home | Not requesting tasks: too many runnable tasks

The Server thinks you have too many tasks in your cache to finish them on time so it's not sending you any new tasks. This can also happen if you run other Projects tasks at the same time.

Hi Mikey!

Thx to have à look at my problem.
It’s not a deadline pb!! You see them over the deadline because tasks don’t quit my computer!! They are all finished but stay stuck and when I try to manually update the project, I got the error under !!
I must try something, 2 computers are running Boinc manager 7.16.11 and the computer with errors is running 7.16.19 version!!!
When I’ve some time, I’ll try and post results here !!

If somebody think in an other solution, let me know…

Hi Prof !

I have the same problem but when I want to *get* tasks from my Intel Mac :

Sam 4 sep 13:10:17 2021 | NFS@Home | Requesting new tasks for CPU
Sam 4 sep 13:10:23 2021 | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
Sam 4 sep 13:10:23 2021 | NFS@Home | Scheduler request failed: Failure when receiving data from the peer
Sam 4 sep 13:10:28 2021 | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

This more seems to be a Mac problem... :(

I still can't get any task from the project on my iMac, I always have

Sam 11 sep 11:49:38 2021 | NFS@Home | Scheduler request failed: Failure when receiving data from the peer

I have a debian linux VM into my Mac so I gave it a try and yes I got plenty of tasks, so it is confirmed to be a Mac problem :(

Other problem : all the tasks I got in that VM immediately crashed :D

Still same issue, impossible to connect to the project with "failure when receiving data from the peer" since August.

I have the exact same issue with TN-Grid, these are the only projects where I have this on my mac.

Here is your solution. You need to install the latest version of BOINC.

Thanks but the solution you mention is windows only (we are talking Mac here) AND it fixes a certificated problem that started end of September when our problem started end of August...

For Mac the latest version is 7.16.19.

That's odd. I'm using macOS Big Sur 11.6, and the project works fine using both BOINC 7.14.2 and 7.16.19.
