NFS projects on OS X run at priority (nice) of 19, whereas all the other projects that I run do so at priority (nice) 20. At 19 my Mac Pro becomes very slow to respond to user input and makes it essentially impractical to use while running NFS projects. It can take 10-20 seconds just to switch frontmost apps and a full minute or more to launch an average app like Safari, Mail, etc…

Please consider setting nice on your projects to 20 as do all other OS X BOINC apps do (as far as I can tell).

It's like Cosmology@home all over again. No new work it is then.
