Barry Mazur and William Stein wish to include the factors of the numerator of the 200th Bernoulli number in their upcoming book, and you can help! This is a large GNFS factorization, but NFS@Home has the ability to sieve it in 2-3 months. Therefore, I am placing 2,1019- on hold for a bit. If you have the memory for it please use the lasievef application help factor B200, and let's complete it as quickly as possible!

How much ram dose each task roughly require?

will these tasks come through in the normal way or do we need to do something different ?

lasievee tasks require about 500 MB each. lasievef and lasieve5f tasks require about 1GB each.

Yes, just get and submit work the usual way.

Thankyou for the clarification
I thought by the following
If you have the memory for it please use the lasievef application help factor B200
B200 had special memory requirements.

My system has plenty of memory so I don't mind doing these all the time if that is possible.

You need at least 5 GB.

If you have sufficient memory, then you can to into NFS@Home preferences on the website, click on Edit NFS@Home preferences, and disable the lasievee application. This will mean that you will only receive the large-memory workunits that are worth more credit.

The sieving is done, so NFS@Home is done with the number. But the linear algebra must now be performed to complete the factorization. That will likely take 2 months or longer.

Will this mean more Work Units for us to process ?

Only if filtering phase fails.

Greg, pay attention to spammers in the forum. In this thread you have two: yoluck and harley depp.
