Hi I am Alan, I just joined the project.
I wonder how can I tame the CPU / memory usage as it is taking to much of my resources.
I am running on MAC OS Yosemite.

Hi welcome to the project.

If you open the main Boinc window then click options > computing preferences under the computing tab you can change the percentage of CPUs used. For a start I would change this to 50% and see how you go. I have given you the instructions on how to do it on a Windows machine I think it will be the same for our Mac

Up to 1GB of RAM is OK...as I've got 2 tasks for Yoyo@home taking 7GB each! B)

But that is OK, as I am on 47 of 128 right now... ;)
